The Basics

Fletching is very closely tied to Alchemy. First you need an Albemic, and you'll only ever need one! Then you will use will the Albemic on potions to create infusions, infusions on Aqua Incanta to create oils, and finally the oils on arrowheads. Remember to apply the oil before you assemble the arrows/quarrels/darts. You can also do this using Potion Peas, Concentrated Aqua Incanta, and Wrapped Bundles of Arrowheads.

Using the later 'bundle' method requires higher skills to be regularly successful. You should also note that combining 'Wrapped Bundles of Arrowheads' with 'Wrapped Shafts' will result in half the amount, 250 compared to 500, of these items that might be produced if they were split before the final assembly. Wrapped bundles also have a higher assembly difficulty than the split items, but the technique is great in a pinch. You split these items with a Whitling Knife, which can be found at the General Store in Eastham.

Generic Production Process

Here are two generic process outlines for producing common items on Dereth.

Trade Elixir:

Part One: Alchemy (3 pieces)

Albemic + [Potion] = [Attribute Infusion]

Albemic + [Potion] = [Attribute Infusion]

Albemic + Realgar = Victual Infusion

Part Two: Alchemy (3 pieces)

[Attribute Infusion] + Neutral Balm = [Attribute Draught]

[Attribute Draught] + Victual Infusion = [Attribute Potion]

[Attribute Infusion] + [Attribute Potion] = [Trade Attribute Elixir]

Remember: During part two of the process you will have to recover your attribute's reserves (health, stamina, or mana) as it is used up during the crafting process.

Hunter Arrowheads:

Part One: Alchemy

Albemic + [Potion] = [Elemental Infusion]

[Elemental Infusion] + Aqua Incanta = [Elemental Oil]

Albemic + Quicksilver = Bloodseeker Infusion

Bloodseeker Infusion + Aqua Incanta = Bloodseeker Oil

Albemic + Stibnite = Bloodhunter Infusion

Bloodhunter Infusion + Aqua Incanta = Bloodhunter Oil

Part Two: Fletching

Bloodseeker Oil + Arrowheads = Greater Arrowheads

[Elemental Oil] + Greater Arrowheads = [Elemental Greater Arrowheads]

Bloodhunter Oil + [Elemental Greater Arrowheads] = [Elemental Hunter Arrowheads]

Note: Greater arrows, quarrels, darts, and spikes have a wield requirement of 170. Hunter arrows, quarrels, darts, and spikes have a wield requirement of 230.

Producing Better Arrowheads

Don't let the name fool you, arrowheads don't just make arrows. They are used to produce arrows (for bows), quarrels (for crossbows), darts (for atlatls), and spikes (for hand assaults). There is six specific grades of arrowheads, five of these must be created from the basic forms.

• Greater: These types of arrowheads inflict more damage than the basic types.
• Hunter:
• Hunter: The hunter arrowhead inflict the best damage possible. However, the hunter types require a much higher skill just to be able to use them.
• Elemental: Acid, Fire, Frost, and Lightning that cause elemental damage.
• Greater Elemental: The greater elementals inflict a greater amount of elemental damage than the basic elementals.
• Hunter Elemental: Hunter elementals inflict the most amount of elemental damage possible. However, these also require a much higher skill just to be able to use them.
